A Little Quantum Physics Lecture

The more we learn about the nature of the physical universe, the less it looks like a great machine and the more it looks like a great thought. --Sir James Jeans (physicist/mathematician)

Sir James Jeans. I have no idea who this man is/was, but I'm assuming he was considered pretty smart.

So supposedly the statements made in "A Course In Miracles" is pretty much in alignment with what scientists are recently finding out. To sum it up, The Course states that this world was made by our minds and that everything here is an illusion. It's a dream. What are dreams? They're thoughts. What are they made of? Nothing.

And so, scientists tried to find out what makes up everything. (On a side note, my knowledge of science is very limited. I didn't even take Chemistry in high school, so my personal credibility is very limited as well. All that I'm reporting is what I've read recently.) So what did we learn in junior high about matter? What was it made of? Protons, electrons, neutrons? What are those made of? I don't know... quarks, neutrinos, yada yada yada. They kept trying to see what made up these smaller and smaller things. Eventually, they got to a point where they found no matter at all. Instead, they just called it energy. So this is pretty much what makes everything up. "Energy."

Hmmm. If everything is made of energy, then there's no such thing as real matter. Cuz all those cells, atoms, protons, neutrinos are made from nothing-- I mean energy. So what I'm thinking is, there really isn't a computer in front of your face. It's a thought of a computer. A thought of a keyboard, a thought of a chair, a room, a body, a world, a universe that we are seeing.

So if all of what the quantum physicists are saying is true, what do we do? Where do we go from here? The Course says we're really in Heaven (the real world) and we're just dreaming about this place. We've forgotten our true Selves and have forgotten each other in this world. We forgot that we are Love itself and are naturally loving. In order to wake up, we have to forgive everyone and everything for what they didn't really do (cuz it ain't real). We can't exclude anybody from our love, because then it wouldn't be real love.

Class dismissed.

If my blabbering didn't make any sense to you, check out this page where I found the Sir James Jeans quote.
